Southern Rustic Logwerks LLC is a family owned business located in Amory, MS. We believe there is a redemptive quality to authentic hand-crafted furniture and take great pride in bringing that genuine one-of-a-kind style to each of our customers. Each piece is unique and shows the character of the northern white cedar and white pine that grows naturally in the American south.
We offer various stain options for our indoor furniture: Natural, Golden Oak, Honey Pine, Pecan, and Walnut. For outdoor furniture, we offer protective finishing options as well.
What exactly is checking?
Cracks in the logs are called “checking” and are a normal aging process in logs. It is usually most noticeable on edges and drilled holes, where there is more exposed surface area and drying. Checking does not affect the strength of the furniture. Checking is the uniqueness and character of a natural wood product.
